Meh

You know, that's not the real end of the poem-it's only two thirds of it. It would take too much time and work to finish, so you can look it up yourself on the Internet if you want. :P

Because, Jeff, when you try to right-click inside of the window that you're typing your post in, it doesn't bring up the menu (undo, cut, copy, paste, etc.).

Oh, It makes sense, Jill. You just have to keep re-reading and thinking about it. The main subject is speaking out about Slavery, but it also discusses the battle between Good and Evil, and even gives Biblical references. Other than that, it doesn't allude to other ideas very much. In the beginning, it tells of how Mankind jumps back and forth rapidly between right and wrong. Then it brings God (as well as Satan) into the picture, telling of how He "kept watch over His own" in the past. Then, it speaks of the Present, and how the struggle continues; now, the right is equal to Freedom, and the wrong is Slavery. After that (in the part I didn't type out), it continues speaking about the present, and how we take what was given to us by our forefathers (our country and our freedom), and use it for wrong things. It sums it all up in the last stanza or two, and encourages us to do right, and not "attempt the Future's portal with the Past's blood-rusted key."
